This on-site photo shows the cargo securing solution using our Composite Cord Straps inside a shipping container for blue steel chemical drums.
Two metal liquid drums are placed alongside the container corrugated wall. Our high-strength composite cord straps are fixed onto the built-in anchor lashing rings of the container. One single side strap system wraps around the barrels and fastens firmly to the container side wall anchor points, forming a stable restraint structure.
During overland truck transport and ocean freight, frequent jolts, sudden braking and vessel rolling will make heavy steel drums slide, roll or topple freely inside the container, which may lead to barrel collision, packaging damage, liquid leakage and serious transport safety accidents. The composite cord strap locks the drums tightly against the container wall to restrict rolling and lateral movement completely.
Compared with steel strapping, composite cord straps feature light weight, high tensile strength, soft texture and anti-abrasion performance, so they will not scratch the surface of chemical drums or damage container inner walls. They are easy to operate without special tools, reusable and cost-effective for dangerous goods and liquid drum shipments. This single-side lashing method fully utilizes the container’s original anchor rings, requiring no extra auxiliary fixtures, making it a simple, reliable cargo stabilization solution for barrel cargo.
