This real-scene photograph captures the cargo securing application of our Composite Cord Straps for large steel coils inside a shipping container.
The blue painted steel coil is loaded onto a wooden pallet and placed against the container’s corrugated side wall. Our high-tensile composite cord straps are fastened to the factory-built anchor lashing rings on the container interior. The straps form an X-shaped cross restraint wrapping around the bottom of the heavy steel coil pallet, implementing unilateral fixed lashing to lock the coil firmly in place.
Steel coils are extremely heavy and round-shaped. During road transit and ocean shipping, vehicle sudden braking, road bumps and vessel rolling will cause the coils to slide, shift or even roll freely within the container. This poses severe risks including coil surface scratch, pallet collapse, cargo collision and container wall damage, which may trigger huge economic losses.
Our composite cord straps solve this hazard effectively. With excellent breaking strength, soft flexible texture and anti-scratch property, they will not dent or scrape the coated surface of steel coils, unlike rigid steel bands. The lashing setup fully utilizes the container’s original anchor rings without extra fixtures, featuring simple installation and convenient disassembly. It delivers reliable unilateral reinforcement to stop the heavy coil from sliding forward or sideways throughout long-distance international transportation, serving as an ideal securing solution for metal coil shipments.
